MUIS offers financial aid through the distribution of Zakat (tithe) collected from the Muslim community. This Zakat is allocated to eight categories of asnaf (beneficiaries), including the poor, the needy, those in debt, and students pursuing religious education, among others. It is a supplimentary assistance funded by the government.
Darussalam offers Financial Assistance to;
residents within the boundaries of Clementi, West Coast and Dover.
Currently Darussalam Mosque are assisting a total of 125 beneficaries and a total of 5 rental blocks/flats.
More than 20 elderlies in these areas are also paired with our trained Befrienders who regularly visit them at their homes.
Darussalam Mosque also works closely with other agencies such as the Social Service Office and People's Association to enhance our service to the community.
